Job Summary:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing comprehensive mental health care services to patients with psychiatric disorders. The primary focus of this role is to assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based treatment plans for individuals with mental health conditions, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations, including comprehensive mental health assessments, medical histories, and psychosocial evaluations.
2. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients, incorporating evidence-based practices.
3. Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications while monitoring their effectiveness and addressing any side effects or concerns.
4. Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, medication management, and coping strategies.
5. Perform individual and group therapy sessions, using various therapeutic modalities, to address patients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs.
6. Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:
1. Master's or Doctorate degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing or related field.
2. Active and unrestricted state license as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
3. Board certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
4. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
5. In-depth knowledge of psychiatric disorders, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
6. Proficiency in conducting psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing mental health conditions, and developing individualized treatment plans.
